Elena and Lila, the two wonderful friends, are now women. Lila, who married at sixteen and has a son, left her husband and her affluent life and works as a laborer under difficult conditions. Elena has left the neighborhood where she grew up, completed her studies at the University of Pisa, and published a successful novel, events that have integrated her into the world of literature and high society salons. Both, each in her own way, have torn down the walls that kept them trapped in a life steeped in misery, ignorance, and submission. They can now venture into the vast sea of opportunities that the 1970s brought to the world, always united by that strong, unbreakable bond of a unique friendship...

Fantastic tetralogy that takes you on a journey to the tumultuous Naples of 1970. With the focus on the relationship between two girls, in different phases of their lives, it exposes all the emotions that a strong friendship can evoke, along with the insecurities and problems that can arise! I would highly recommend it!
