In this volume, texts by musicians, linguists, writers, mathematicians, psychologists, speech therapists, physiologists, and doctors coexist, who have dealt with speech from the perspective of their art or science. The Meetings gave voice to their different approaches, aiming at the development of a dialogue between knowledge fields that remain separate and attempting to contribute to the establishment of a common language, a common terminology, which will allow the sciences of speech to understand each other and engage in in-depth conversations about their subject matter.
The desire to preserve the traces of these discussions, a succession of winged words, led to their recording in the present volume, which, like the corresponding speeches, are part of the activities of the Neuropsychological Unit of the Neurological Clinic of the University of Athens during the year 2007-2008.
