The heart rate measurements are reliable as they have been compared to other devices (blood pressure monitor). The oxygen saturation measurement always shows 94-96%, while with a similar oximeter at the cardiologist's office it showed 98%.

This particular oximeter is relatively accurate in terms of tightness, HOWEVER it shows a saturation value lower by 2 or even 3 (!!!) units compared to another brand device that I have had for years and is tested for its reliability. The comparison was made by alternating the devices on the fingers without any change in the deviation. At one point, the device reached to show an oxygen saturation of 92, i.e. at the limit of hypoxemia where someone should seek medical help (which of course I did not need because the actual saturation was momentarily +3 units from the reading, i.e. 95)!!! I will contact the dealership and get back to you.

    I would rate it with 5 stars if I didn't have a small reservation about the saturation indication. Although I believe it is the most reliable oximeter I've had! Out of 3 different oximeters... one belonging to a friend, another one from my doctor, and finally one at my workplace (the two from different companies), while they show me 98... this one may show me 95 or maybe 96...!! Overall, as a company, it is reliable. The build quality is very good. The price is a bit high probably due to the brand name... but it is also very good in terms of price compared to almost no-name oximeters.
