What is the nature of neo-imperialism as a structure of global inter-state domination and hegemony and how does it differ from the classical imperialism of Lenin's era? What kind of Empire did America build after World War II and how did it manage international politics from 1939 to the present day? How is the economic crisis of the Empire defined and how does it affect the political structures of neo-imperialism? How is the crisis of neo-imperialism expressed today in the war zones of Eurasia, primarily in the Eastern Mediterranean and the broader Middle East? This study attempts to answer these crucial questions and at the same time propose a new research program based on the undeniable crisis of the Empire and the rise of Eurasia (China, Russia, India, and the EU) as its equivalent historical counterbalance.
