Description

Cyprus 1950. High up in the Pentadaktylos mountain, there is an isolated Greek-Turkish village, called Ouranos. There, Galini grows up, who has a passion for painting and the roses she cultivates in her garden. That's why they call her "The girl with the roses".
In her adolescence, love will knock on her door when she meets the beautiful eyes of the young Orestis, who dreams of becoming a doctor. Their company includes a kind-hearted Turk, the village madman, Memet, who secretly harbors tender feelings for Galini.
However, in the peaceful Ouranos, there are many hidden secrets that will start to unravel when the liberation struggle against the British begins in 1955. Shortly after, discord will make its appearance, while in 1974, Turkey will invade Cyprus and the small village will experience destruction. The masks will fall and the trio's friendship will dissolve.
But nothing has been definitively decided yet. Because at the critical moment, love and friendship will fight their own battle in the fire of war against the approaching destruction.
A powerful love story bathed in the sun of the island of Aphrodite and shaped by the destruction of the Turkish invasion.
