Men's Facial Care

Facial care is also a men's affair!

Men's facial care is no longer just a trend, but an almost mandatory daily routine. Every man deserves to discover the importance of facial care, maintaining healthy and refreshed skin. Below you will see the basic steps you need to follow for your daily skincare routine.

  • Dry: may exhibit red and dehydrated areas, especially when exposed to low temperatures, showing sensitivity.
  • Sensitive: reacts differently to various products, often showing rash, itching, redness, or a burning sensation when trying new products.
  • Oily: tends to break out or have acne problems due to increased sebum production.
  • Combination: shows different properties in various parts of the face, with the area around the center being oily, while other parts, such as the cheeks, may be dry.

Step 1: Face Cleansing

Face cleansing is the fundamental step to start your skincare routine. To remove germs, excess sebum, pollutants, and oil that can cause imperfections and skin problems, it is advisable to use a liquid face cleanser with a balanced pH.

  • If you have dry or sensitive skin, try using a cream-based men's face cleanser.
  • If you have oily or combination skin, it is better to use a foam cleanser.

Using the right cleanser for your skin will clean the pores and eliminate the annoying shine.

Tip: Cleanse your face morning and night.

Step 2: Hydration

Hydration is the second important step in your facial care routine. Moisturizers provide your skin with the necessary moisture it needs. Hydration helps maintain skin elasticity, protects against dryness and wrinkles, and creates a healthy and radiant complexion.

Tip: Apply your moisturizer in the morning and at night.

Step 3: Eye Cream

The eyes are a sensitive area that requires special care. Eye creams usually contain special ingredients that help reduce wrinkles, puffiness, and dark circles around the eyes.

Tip: Gently apply the eye cream with the tip of your finger to avoid pulling and irritation.

Step 4: Sunscreen

Sunscreen is an ally for protecting the skin from the sun's ultraviolet radiation, which causes premature aging of the skin. Choose a sunscreen product with an appropriate SPF rating for your skin type.

Tip: Apply sunscreen daily, even when you are not exposed to the sun.

Shaving is one of the main concerns for men, but by following the steps below you will have healthy and irritation-free skin.

  • Preparation with warm water: Before you start shaving, prefer to clean your face with warm water. This makes the hairs softer and reduces the risk of irritation.
  • Choosing a gentle cream or oil: Use a gentle and moisturizing shaving cream or oil to protect the skin from rashes and ingrown hairs.
  • Shaving in the direction of growth: Shave in the direction of your hair growth to reduce irritation. If you have sensitive skin, using a razor with guards can be helpful.
  • Using Scrub: If you have problems with ingrown hairs, you can use an exfoliant, such as a gentle face scrub, a few times a week to remove dead skin cells.
  • Aftershave: All men should use aftershave after shaving, as it prevents infections and soothes the skin from any irritations. There are various types of aftershave, such as lotions and balms that aim to moisturize.

Tip: Avoid After Shave that is alcohol-based.

The beard offers charm to a man, but it requires care and maintenance.

  • Cleaning: Wash your beard regularly with warm water and a mild cleanser as sweat, dust, sebum, and bacteria get trapped under the hairs.
  • Detangling: If your beard is thick, use a beard comb or brush.
  • Grooming: Use a special beard lotion to give it shine and softness.
  • Moisturizing: Just like the skin, the beard also needs moisturizing. Use a little beard oil or a moisturizing product to maintain its softness and healthy appearance.

Tip: The oil has a nurturing effect, provides hydration, and keeps the skin on the face soft, while the balm acts as a styling product that gives volume and shape to the beard, locks in moisture, and gives you soft skin on the face.
