For those seeking more energy from their runs, adidas has designed the Ultraboost 5, which features a redesigned midsole LIGHTBOOST filled with 9mm more foam under the heel and forefoot, allowing for reduced weight, increased cushioning, and 2% more energy return in the forefoot compared to the Ultraboost Light 1. The Boost-filled midsole offers higher responsiveness and absorption in the heel and transitions immediately to its original shape as the runner's foot hits the ground, allowing them to go further while expending the same amount of energy.

More Boost and lighter than ever

Ultraboost 5 Vs Ultraboost 5X

For the first time, Adidas introduced two versions of its popular series, the Ultraboost 5 and the Ultraboost 5X. Both models feature a Primeknit upper, Light Boost sole, Torsion System, molded heel clip, and Continental outsole. However, the Ultraboost 5X weighs 17 grams less (they do not have the cage on the upper part, where the laces tie) and are an ideal choice for runners who prefer a lighter shoe.
