The most important games released in March 2024

What's coming to the video game market this March? 2023 was an incredible year for gaming and 2024 seems to have started off particularly strong. Leaving behind February, which closed with the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, one of the most important "strong" games of the PS5, let's see the most important releases in video games that we will welcome during this month.

The Outlast Trials

Release: March 5th Platforms: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X

The Outlast videogames series has already had several releases in the market, and The Outlast Trials is the latest one. After a long journey in Early Access, the game is finally released in a more final form and will give you the opportunity to play in co-op mode and experience a unique and terrifying experience with friends. The progression system has changed, and the early reviews (as testified by the players themselves) are particularly positive.

WWE 2K24

Release Date: March 8 Platforms: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X

The games of the WWE 2K series have gone through... forty waves and it seems that this year the title has improved in some aspects. The WWE 2K24 is expected shortly before the end of the first ten-day period for March and on the cover is Cody Rhodes, one of the fighters who plays a leading role in the official matches. The game will also offer unique matches from the 40 years of WrestleMania, which means that players will be called upon to experience in a special way some legendary matches and heroes that they admired in the past on television. The MyRise mode will come with two separate storylines, while in the game there is also the WrestleMania XL arena and the WrestleMania Mode that returns after WWE 2K14.

Alone in the Dark

Release: March 20 Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X

Alone in the Dark is considered the precursor of survival horror games and the first step in video games that combine action and horror. The series took some very interesting steps while under the ownership of Infogrames (1992-2008), but later moved into very shallow waters. Since 2018, the game has passed into the hands of THQ Nordic and just before the end of March we will welcome the first new game of the franchise which aims to make it a complete reboot. The new Alone in the Dark is developed by Piece Interactive and is a modern take on the 1992 game. It is a single player experience, which will send players back to 1920 to play as Edgward Carnby or Emily Hartwood and discover all the secrets of the Derceto Mansion.

Dragon's Dogma 2

Release: March 22 Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X

The Dragon's Dogma series didn't start off particularly strong in the market, but over the years it has won the hearts of action RPG enthusiasts, and now every new content is eagerly anticipated. Following the success of the first game (which took a while to come), Capcom is releasing another game in the franchise, specifically Dragon's Dogma 2. The game comes in the same gameplay format, with players battling humans and monsters, climbing on enemies, and trying to survive with their team. The world is once again vast, evolving dynamically, and there are plenty of choices for each character.

Rise of the Ronin

Release Date: March 22 Platforms: PS5

The new project from Team Ninja is coming exclusively to PS5. The team is known for their work in action RPGs and Rise of the Ronin falls into that category as well. Players can create a hero as they wish and use martial arts and weapons (such as katanas) to face enemies they will encounter in groups. At various points, the hero will be called upon to make important decisions that will affect his alliances and rivalries. Important historical cities will be available for exploration, while for travel there will be both horses and various tools (such as the glider).
