For almost a decade, theories about Grand Theft Auto VI have flooded the internet. Where would it take place? Who would be the protagonist? Many questions, so Rockstar Games did the best it could: it officially revealed GTA VI!

The first trailer of the upcoming game made its debut and we saw quite a lot, but before we analyze it, you can enjoy it here:

What stands out from the chaotic first trailer, then?

Heists with a feminine touch!

Many rumors revolved around the protagonist role and specifically, whether players would handle a man or a woman. Without a doubt, we now know the answer, as we met Lucia! In some shots, she appears in a prison uniform while in others she wanders around the city, so her background is... expected. A life revolving around heists, even with the help of her partner.

The couple reminds us of Bonnie and Clyde, something highly suitable for the series' standards. Although the first trailer focused on Lucia, it is not excluded that players can choose which of the two characters they will handle or even change the protagonist with a button, something we saw in Grand Theft Auto V.

Vice City and Leonida, like... Florida!

Grand Theft Auto V returned to the beloved San Andreas, so Grand Theft Auto VI attempts something similar, having as its setting the beloved city of Vice City! Specifically, it will take place in the state of Leonida, clearly inspired by the real Florida. Huge beaches, giant buildings, impressive clubs, streets full of neon and fast cars - everything we expected and even more!

In some shots, we see the city's nightlife, focusing on some clubs. It is not excluded that it could be the legendary Pole Position that Tommy Vercetti once bought or the Malibu Club we saw in GTA Vice City Stories!

Fast cars, alligators, and... social media!

Inspired by the legendary Ferrari Testarossa, the old good Cheetah from Grand Theft Auto Vice City is back. And for safety, the owner of the car we see made sure to bring the license plate "CH33TAH".

In another scene, we see an alligator causing panic in Leonida, a fact rooted in reality, as there has been a man from Florida who released an alligator inside a store!

The... youth of the game is more actively engaged with social media, which appear to be much more developed compared to their previous appearance in Grand Theft Auto V. Overall, Rockstar's emphasis on every detail is evident in every scene of the game, as well as the incredible graphics that are sure to push consoles and PCs to their limits.

Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released within 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The release for PC will be staggered, as stated by Rockstar, so based on previous releases where the same happened, the difference is expected to be a few months.
