The most common mistakes in vacuuming with an electric vacuum cleaner!
I know that cleaning is not the most pleasant job you have to do at home. Okay, it's not ironing!
And while we rely on the power and ability of our vacuum cleaner, we think that a simple forward and backward pass is enough. But no, there are many mistakes we make that either prevent us from cleaning the space well, or tire us unnecessarily, or may even damage the vacuum cleaner itself!
Let's see some of the most common mistakes;
Emptying the bin and the bag: Depending on the type of vacuum cleaner you have, classic with a bag or cyclonic with a bin, you should take care that the part where the dust and dirt are stored does not obstruct the suction! Besides reduced cleaning performance, with overly full bins and bags, the particles and dust may return to the air, which will dirty the space again and may end up in someone's nose!
Maintenance of the vacuum cleaner: Electric vacuum cleaners have special filters to keep the dust and particles away from the air and space. However, these filters need regular cleaning, so that they are always in good condition and perform efficiently and effectively. But cleaning and care are also needed for the accessories, especially the brushes and the bottom of the nozzles, where dirt and hair accumulate.
Not so fast: We may be in a hurry to finish cleaning, but let's not overdo it. Very fast and abrupt movements do not give the vacuum cleaner enough time to effectively absorb the dust and dirt, resulting in ineffective cleaning or requiring multiple repetitions from the same spot.
Accessories: Most vacuum cleaners on the market come with the 3 basic accessories: A small brush, one for corners, and a mini nozzle. Obviously, each one has its own use and should be used where needed. Of course, if our model has even more nozzles or accessories, such as a brush for pets, for parquet, etc., we use them!
A little preparation: Before you start cleaning with the vacuum cleaner, make sure the spaces are clean. No, I don't mean to clean beforehand, but to tidy up small objects, bins, boxes, etc., so that you don't waste time during cleaning. And of course, to not ignore the areas where dirt remains in the space!
Invest in a good vacuum cleaner! This is one of the most common mistakes! Many times we choose an economical model without paying attention because "well, how much should I spend on a vacuum cleaner, it just sucks up dust." But do you know what matters? Performance, hygiene, and durability! In most cases, as the purchase cost increases, all three are increased. Better performance and ease of cleaning, more and better filters and dust re-emission, and of course, higher quality materials and motor.
